How to track your time as a freelancer.

As a freelancer, your time is literally your product. Every untracked minute is lost money. Temprofit gives you three ways to capture your work time.

The live stopwatch

The bottom bar of the app is always visible. With one click you start the stopwatch, select client, project and task, and time runs. When you finish, stop it and it saves automatically.

💡 Tip: If you forget to stop the stopwatch, you can edit the entry manually afterwards. You don't lose anything.

Manual entries

Worked without the stopwatch? No problem. Create manual entries by specifying duration (e.g. 2h 30m) or time range (e.g. 9:00 to 11:30). You can create them for any past date.

Task tags

Each entry can have a tag: design, development, meeting, review, etc. Create them once and reuse. This lets you see how much time you spend on each activity type and then import them grouped into invoices.

From hours to money

Each client has a configured hourly rate. Temprofit automatically calculates the monetary value of each entry. In the entries list you see the amount next to the hours, and in reports you can see the breakdown by client, project or period.

1

Create a client with rate

2

3

With one click, hours become invoice lines

⌨️ Quick shortcut: Press the T key at any time to start or pause the stopwatch. Cmd+K opens the global search.
